We are hiring forculinary rolesfor Maxime’s El Puma restaurant! Maxime’s is NYC’s newest private member’s club from entrepreneur Robin Birley; owner of prestigious private member’s clubs 5 Hertford Street and Oswald’s in London. Maxime’s mission is to provide exceptional and discreet service for our members through unparalleled hospitality. Our members will feel as though they are in a private home, enjoying outstanding food and wine surrounded by stunning decor. We are seeking applicants for a variety of culinary roles to join our kitchen team in ourEl Pumarestaurant that focuses on bold and contemporaryLatin-American cuisine.Applicants can expect to work in a state of the art kitchen, providing excellent fine dining cuisine. OUR CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES INCLUDE: Senior Sous Chef $80,000 - $85,000 /annum Sous Chef - $70,000 - $75,000 /annum Junior Sous Chef - $65,000 - $70,000 /annum Senior Chef de Partie - $24.00 - $27.00 /hour Line Cook’s - $21.50 - $23.50 /hour Demi Chef de Partie- $19.50 /hour Commis Chef - $19.50 /hour Candidates can expect: Professional work collaboration with experts in the food and hospitality field. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a fine dining restaurant and/or hotel. Experience with Latin-American cuisine. Current NYC Food Protection Certificate. Willingness to maintain a clean, healthy, and safe working environment. Willingness to be respectful with our values and principles. Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision. Ability to be at work on-time, work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT Ability to be flexible with job demands and open-minded when being asked to complete tasks. Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run the restaurant. Ability to operate with grace under pressure. Ability to move or handle equipment throughout the restaurant generally weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates. Ability to stand for up to 8-10 hours a day.
